St. Mark's LOGOS is a weekly event for youth based on a national program. During the school year, every Wednesday evening at 5:00 p.m. youth in grades 6-12 meet. The evening consists of four parts:
1. Recreation. Participating in interactive games, outdoor play, crafts, and more gives kids and teens the opportunity to work off some energy and get to know one another better.
2. Worship. The evening takes on a slower pace when everyone gathers to hear a speaker, sing, or contemplate a reading from the Bible.
3. Family Time. Volunteers work hard each week to prepare a tasty, balanced meal. Youth sit with their "family," including table parents, which is usually the same each week. This gives everyone a chance for conversation and often an activity, such as composing a song to thank the cooks. Many meals have a theme.
4. Bible Study. Youth split up into groups by grade and spend time learning, reading, and discussing a topic or verse from the Bible.
The LOGOS program also prepares youth to lead some Sunday services, which can include special songs, skits, and readings. Parental involvement in LOGOS is required, and there are many ways for parents and others to help out.
The St. Mark's LOGOS Youth Group meets every Wednesday at 5:00 pm. Please call the office for more information.
